Welcome to the Family!

I had been putting a Herculean effort just to get everything running as i planned for yesterday. Waves of anxiety engulfed me when my pay was delayed as the seller had been reserving the pad for me for weeks. Only having my stack of cash on hand for hours, i exchanged my 208 hours hard-earned money plus savings for her ASUS Eee Pad Transformer. The worst part is that i have got to test the pad, purchase the accessories all under the radar. On the third night, my home Internet network broke down and i got no choice but to test it at McDonald's until late night while on the fourth night, i travelled to Tesco after my 12-hour shift just to meet a seller, that was the night my ailments deteriorated. A bulk download of her favourite 300+ Chinese songs saw me staying awake past midnight. To maximize impact, i accomodated the pad in a large Big Apple donuts box instead of casual gift box. Those days were seriously harsh but now when i look back at it, i smiled. Her smile is worth everything. I ♥ you, my dear!

A Stressful 32nd Mensiversary.

Time flies so fast that it was now our 32nd mensiversary!
Unfortunately, as my wife had an extremely tight exam schedule and i was working from 10 to 7, we could not even has the auspicious event celebrated properly.
I usually have an hour break on weekends and that was when my wife and i celebrated this mensiversary.
We eventually went to Paddington House of Pancakes to have pancakes for lunch.
Out of our expectation, the pancakes were quite big in portion and we got bored after just eating part of them.

My wife even prepared me a gift - Pong Pong, a totally black round creature from the Dooodolls series.
We have been toying with the toy whenever we see him at Parkson.
Well, Pong Pong is the name we gave him, he is actually known as Charco and he could produce flame with of a snap of his fingers whenever he is mad but does he have any?
That sounds scary but he is still so adorable!
Oh ya, he does share the same horoscope with me - Sagittarius.

Next, it was my turn to present my wife her present in which i have secretly placed it behind her back so that she could feel it when she leans back.
Inside the box was a piece of card fulled of my terrible handwriting, a few Zebra pen refills as well as a Pilot Dr. Grip 4 +1 pen or pencil you name it.
For you information, the multi pen Dr. Grip consists of 4 ballpoint pens of different colours: blue, black, red, green and also features mechanical pencil function.
To make it a far more special, meaningful gift, i have requested the sale person to engrave a 'Michelle 32' on it.
It is to remind her that i am always by her side even though i can't exactly accompany her to the exam venue, when she is having exam.

Aikss, so fast, it was the end of my lunch break.
My wife and i eventually parted ways as i needed to get back to work while she needed to study.
In the evening, at 7, here we were again and we were enjoying our dinner at Swensen's, Gurney Plaza, a restaurant we used to patronize, not since i start to work.
A simple meal which comprised of Clam Chowder in Bread Bowl, Spaghetti Aglio Olio and Chicken Baked Rice was enough to fulfill our stomach.
After doing some window shopping, i sent my wife home before doing the same thing to myself.

It might be a pretty stressful mensiversary but in the end, we turned up to be very delighted.
Let's hope my wife can have a breakthrough or at least learn how to stand up when she falls.

31 Months!

Today, it was a very special day to both my wife and i as we have been together for exactly 31 months or 2 years and 7 months. Besides, we were celebrating this auspicious event together with a gang of extremely frisky hyperactive sick kittens. We got up not as late as usual, had our favourite Curry Mee before heading to Logos Hope, the biggest floating book fair in Malaysia. Logos Hope is actually a ship which offers more than books and features a fully air conditioned deck that is open to the public to explore. Upon boarding the ship with an admission fee of RM1 per head, we received a warm welcome and one of the personnel just gave us a brief introduction as well as history of the magnificent ship. Not only books but also CD titles are being merchandised here with an odd but effective currency of units, 100 units is equal to RM8. A wide spectrum of books, ranging from recipe to biographies, travels as well as fiction is exhibited and for sale. Other than that, you could always purchase souvenirs such as keychain, post card, sticker, pen and crystal decoration.

It was a burning afternoon, we eventually grabbed a can of cold drink from a vending machine. I have already prepared a series of Rilakkuma collectibles as gifts for her. Unfortunately, one of the kittens i have mentioned above faced flu deterioration which ended up us bringing her again to a vet. Time consuming, money wasting, my wife and i got not much money left to celebrate our day. That is why we only had duck drumstick noodle for our lunch, how pathetic was that.

In the evening, my wife fell with a thud into a deep drain without the drain cover while she was walking towards my car. That left a deep wound on her left leg which now and then causes her to yell in pain. After doing some first aid actions, my wife and i had our dinner at the newly opened Lok Lok-oriented Xuan Xin Steamboat. Click here for the full review and more pictures.

We packed the remaining food, intending to bring it back for the stray dogs and cats in my residential area. However, we were stopped and compelled to leave our food at the cinema locker when we were entering GSC for the funny movie, Johnny English Reborn, starring the wit, Rowan Atkinson a.k.a Mr Bean.

It was fun movie, we really enjoyed that. The show finished at around 10pm and i got to stock up my cat litter. Hence, we both travelled to Tesco Tanjung Pinang and for what? For the cats again!
